Salt-N-Pepa Give New Meaning To “Push It” In 2014

The 1990’s favorite female rap duo Salt-N-Pepa are back on your TV screens with their 1987 hit single “Push It”. Dressed in their classic gold chains and oversized varsity jackets, Salt-n-Pepa have replicated their “Push It” dance moves for a new GEICO insurance commercial. The duo’s  DJ, Spinderella, got in on the fun too as she also made a quick cameo during the commercial.

The original song lyrics  insinuate sex; but now, as the ladies sing the chorus in the clip, there’s a much different implication to the words than what you might think. They repeat, “Push It” to guide and motivate people doing everyday tasks. Stating, “Push It, it’s what you do !”
